For over a decade, Blue Sky Bio has provided innovative dental implants to dentists and oral surgeons around the world. With low overhead and sleek designs, Blue Sky Bio can offer high-quality pieces at value prices. Keeping with their efforts to maintain quality and competitive pricing, the company approached PDG+creative to develop a fully customized, comprehensive e-commerce site that would allow all Blue Sky Bio transactions to take place online.

The resulting e-commerce site is one of the most highly customized and user-friendly that PDG+creative has yet to produce. Not only does the site posses basic e-commerce functionality, it is fully integrated with Blue Sky Bio’s existing shipping program and accounting software.

Though Blue Sky Bio is an online company, fulfillment of their orders involves offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, Los Angeles and New York City. Previously, all of this was conducted by individuals stationed in each location and order fulfillment was prey to human error. With the software integration that PDG+creative provided, online orders are received, processed and shipped automatically, with automatic e-mail notifications sent to both the customer and Blue Sky Bio.

In addition to its e-commerce functions, the Blue Sky Bio site also features downloadable PDF catalogs and white papers, video presentations, password-protected user login and an online support system that allows dental professionals to interact directly with the engineers who design Blue Sky Bio implants.

Pushed live in October of 2008, the site boasts excellent front-end usability, letting users quickly and easily find and order what they need. With a clean, cohesive image and swift, multi-functional website, Blue Sky Bio is able to maintain their low overhead costs while producing top quality dental implants.
