how we develop sites

At PDG+creative, a focused development process that keeps us on target with client expectations is the single common thread shared by each of our websites. Built from the ground up every time, our sites are uniquely crafted to provide our client's precise needs for their audience.

Our developement process begins with you, the client. An initial meeting allows us to explore your objectives for the new site, your understanding of how the audience will use the site and whether you have certain expectations about technologies to be used. From there, we provide you with an initial proposal that details our approach to web development and also outlines our understanding of your specific project. Once this proposal has been reviewed and, if applicable, changes are discussed, we will provide a final proposal that includes a full budget and production schedule.

Following approval of the project proposal, we determine user specifications, content needs and information architecture. We then develop a complete site map, illustrating navigation links and what information will fall under certain headings. Once the site map is approved, we move on to the design phase.

During the design phase, we'll provide you with comps of both the homepage and subpage. After a little creative collaboration, we'll arrive at an approved site design and will move our focus to site content. Depending on whether you have an existing site, our in-house copy writer will either create new content or we can easily migrate content from your existing site.

When all is said and done, our web development process ensures that we arrive at a user-friendly, standards-based web site that meets your every expectation.
